The Arrival of Spring Collections
Although we still have mounds of snow in Pittsburgh, the newLe Jacquard Francais collection reassures us that the warm breezes of spring and summer will arrive again.
Le Jacquard Francais is known the world over for their fine damask weaves, sophisticated designs and subtle color harmonies. The new collection is certainly no exception. The Escale Marine pattern takes you immediately the the beach! Horizon is a great combination of blues with an unexpected touch of pastel pink. I particularly like Mimosa...a sophisticated blend of yellow gold and silver grey borders. I am not sure whether the name refers to one of my favorite cocktails, Mimosa, a mixture of champagne and orange juice...or the Mimosa plant, some of which have beautiful golden flowers.
Romance, which of course is always in season, is available in the wonderful soft, sophisticated spring shades, Anis Green, Lavander and Wild Cherry. Simply lovely!
These patterns, and many other Le Jacquard Francais patterns, are also available in Table Runners and Tete a Tetes. The Tete a Tete (literally "head to head" in French) is often referred to as a cross runner. It generally runs across the width of the table, rather than the length. The set includes 2 napkins so that the two people can enjoy a meal together on the same cloth instead of separate placemats. Of course, you can use the Tete a Tete as a short runner for the center of your table as well.
