Lisa Corti Tablecloths Have Arrived

A few years ago I literally dragged my niece, Liz, all over Rome looking for Lisa Corti's shop located in a beautiful, but somewhat hidden, courtyard.  I fell in love with her fabulous tablecloths in Positano, Italy but had not been able to find anywhere in the United States where I could buy one!   

Lisa Corti's tablecloths are immediately recognizable. In fact, last week I had placed one on a table in the front window of my shop.  A customer came in the front door and said, "Is that really a Lisa Corti tablecloth?" ...and of course left the shop with a new tablecloth!

Lisa was born in Ethiopia, where she lived until she was nineteen. She now lives in Italy but the beauty of the African people and the brightly colored costumes worn by the local women using ancient decorative traditions was imprinted in her memories.  Lisa Corti is widely known for weightless, transparent cottons printed in Inia with amazing colors.  The fabric is woven on traditional looms and printed with carved wood blocks in a manner that has been used for thousands of years.
