Lisa Corti has Arrived!

A few years ago, I literally dragged my niece, Liz, all over Rome searching for Lisa Corti’s shop in a small, beautiful courtyard. I had known about her fabulous tablecloths for several years, but  was unable to actually find anywhere in the US where I could  buy one!

Finally, in Paris last September, I was able to purchase Lisa’s new collection and bring it to Pittsburgh, one of only a handful of cities which offer her  wonderful tablecloths.  Our shipment has finally arrived.  Each tablecloth is printed with distinctive patterns and amazing colors...each a treasure!

Lisa Corti Arabesque

Lisa was born in Ethiopia, where she lived until she was nineteen. The beauty of the African people and the brightly colored costumes worn by the local women using their ancient decorative traditions was imprinted in her memories.

Today, Lisa is known for her weightless, transparent cottons printed in India in amazing colors. The fabric is woven on traditional looms and printed with carved wood blocks that have been used for thousands of years.

Simply spectacular!!   Enjoy exploring Lisa's world...
