Since 1500, for 25 uninterrupted generations, the Grazia family has made the finest majolica in Italy. This fabulous piece was hand formed with red clay, painted, fired, glazed and fired a second time. The Grazia family is listed as the 13th oldest family owned business still operating on earth! Originally, the most important customers were noble families, convents and the Roman Catholic Church which began selling to the pilgrims visiting St. Francis' tomb in nearby Assisi.  To date, their customers have ranged from Tiffany's to the Beatles!
