Wedding Gifts - Off the Bridal Registry!

Everyone loves weddings...and most people enjoy purchasing a wedding gift.  Weddings are a wonderful celebration of life and gifts are given to help the new couple begin their new life together. Generally the bride and groom have thoughtfully created a Bridal Registry to guide guests as to what items they would like to receive as gifts.  Many times, however, wedding gifts are given that are not on the registry.

Some prefer to choose a gift that is more memorable than a place setting of china.  Others may not even know the couple well, but do know the parents of the bride or groom and do want to send a gift to to the happy couple.  Sometimes you may not be invited to the wedding or have any registry information available to you.  And there are times when the bride and groom do not register anywhere convenient and guests must choose a gift without any suggestions.

Not to worry...the following gifts are sure to be well received by the newlyweds:

1.     Mary Jurek Olivia Pitcher -  Mary Jurek offers very usable, yet elegant, items made from hand hammered stainless steel.  All of her pieces fit in any decor. The Olivia Two Bowl Serving Set is also wonderful!

2.    Napkins - Napkins are available in a wide variety of sizes, colors, fabrics and price ranges. They are practical and add to the decor of your meal. You can purchase in sets of 6, 8 or 12.  A few suggestions:  Fiorenza Black,  Deborah Rhodes Tropical Plaid Green, Liberty of London Maurice  and for the ultimate wedding gift....exquisite Monogrammed Linen by Julian Mejia

3.    Grant Dawson Mangrove Serving Set - I am always looking for unique serving pieces. This serving set is perfect for salads or vegtables. Grant Dawson is a company who designs and makes products to encourage awareness of endangered species. Mangroves are known as "the rainforest of the sea"...certainly worth protecting!

4.     L'Objet Platinum Garland Frame - Picture frames are always a great gift idea and L'Objet frames are exquisitely made. I particularly love this frame, which has just enough sparkle without going over the top!  Perfect for a wedding photo.

5.     Mud Australia Fish Platter - Mud Australia is made from porcelain clay which is color tinted so that the color is through the dinnerware.  Amazingly, this porcelain is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe!  Each piece is made by hand in Sydney, Australia.

Tournesol offers fine table linens, distinctive dinnerware and gifts for the home from around the world.
