Italian designer Lisa Corti was born in Ethiopia, where she lived until she was nineteen. The beauty of the African people and the brightly colored costumes worn by the local women using their ancient decorative traditions was imprinted in her memories. Today, Lisa creates her designs in Italy and is well-known for her weightless, transparent cottons printed in India in using amazing colors. The fabric is woven on traditional looms and printed with carved wood blocks that have been used for thousands of years.
