Mud Australia is a Sydney-based homeware design company founded in 1994 by Shelley Simpson. All pieces are complementary and designed to emphasise natural lines and functionality. Each piece is entirely hand made in their Sydney studio from the best materials available. Their design and production processes combine to ensure each piece of Mud Australia is unique.

Colour is tinted through the porcelain clay to provide a colour depth not available from surface glazing. Clear glaze is then applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling. Mud Australia porcelain is oven, microwave, dishwasher, and food safe--making it ideal for domestic and commercial use at the table and in the kitchen.
